Another sad loss for the Sierra Leonean community – “gone too soon”

remiAnother bright morning star in the Sierra Leonean community of London, UK – Ms. Patricia Remi Linda Cole, sadly passed away on Monday, 1 April 2013, after a very brief illness. She had just celebrated her 57th birthday on the 17th March 2013.

Patricia Remi Cole lived in Willesden, North London, where she played an active part in the community’s life.

She is a much loved mother, daughter, wife, sister, cousin, auntie, godmother and a friend to many around the World.

She is survived by her parents – Mr Hassan Cole and Mrs Sylvia Tejan-Cole, as well as Mr M R Tejan-Cole;  son – Abdullah Rahman;  daughter – Tazmin; husband – Errol; sisters – Mrs Isha Johansen who lives in Freetown, Abiodun Tejan-Cole,  Ashmaru Tejan-Cole and Lambratu Tejan-Cole.

Remi ColeShe is also survived by her brothers – Olu Tejan-Cole, Mohamed Remileku Tejan-Cole who lives in France, Mohamed (Junior) Tejan-Cole who lives in Sierra Leone, Gibrilla, Abdul Rashid Thomas, Claudius, Balogun as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews and godchildren.

Members of Patricia’s family are deeply shocked at her death, and so too are the numerous friends that she had accumulated over the years, through her numerous acts of kindness and generosity of heart.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAPatricia will be sorely missed by the Sierra Leonean community around the world, especially London, USA and Freetown, and may her soul rest in perfect peace.

She attended both St Anne’s Primary School and St Joseph’s Convent Secondary School in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

Her son – Abdullah Rahman said: “God sometimes call his angels back to him earlier than we would like to accept, but that is His will and we must respect it.  For those of us that remain on earth, we can only support each other and help each other to prepare for the day that we too are called.”

Funeral service will take place at 1.30pm on Friday, 12th April 2013, at the Church of Our Lady, 54 Lodge Road, London NW8 8LA, followed by burial at St Mary’s Cemetery, Harrow Road, London NW10 5NU.

The closest bus routes to the Church are: 139 and 189; and the closest tube station is St Johns Wood, which is 0.5 mile away.

The closest bus route to the cemetery is 18 and the closest train station is Kensal Green, which is 0.1 mile away.

There will be a reception held at the Kensal Club, 177 Kensal Road, North Kensington, London W10 5BJ (Junction of Kensal Road and Bosworth Road), immediately after the funeral.
