Murdered pharmacist to be laid to rest on Sunday

23 November 2012

The mysterious murder of Mr. Adeyemi Johnson in Freetown ten days ago, has provoked much criticism of the government of Sierra Leone, whose talk of being tough on crime, especially armed robbery, has been described as nothing other than shallow politicking.

While the police investigation into the unlawful killing of the young man continues in Freetown, friends and family members are concerned at the very slow pace of the investigation, which many suspect may lead to nowhere.

In the meantime, funeral arrangements are being made for his burial, which takes place on Sunday in Freetown.

Family members and well wishers in the UK, will be attending a memorial service on Sunday 25th November, 2012, at 2.15pm, taking place at the All Saints Church, Hampton Road, Forest Gate, London E7 0RF.

Those travelling to the service can take the following direction: Central line to Stratford, then buses 86 or 25 towards Ilford or Romford. Get off at Wood Grange Park Station.

The bus stop is by the side of the All Saints Church, on Romford Road.

  1. He was too nice a guy to go down that way. The Good Lord is with you my former Head Boy. With tears in my eyes I say farewell to you.
