Frederick Johnson passes away

The death is reported of Mr. Frederick Johnson, an employee of the Kenyan Airways in Freetown, after a short illness. He passed away yesterday evening, 13th March 2012, at the 34 Military Hospital in Freetown.

Frederick is the younger brother of Mrs. Violet Remilekun MacCormack, who is the wife of one of Sierra Leone’s all time great musicians – Bunting MacCormack, popularly known as Bunny Mack.

Frederick – Freddie as he is commonly known to family and friends, worked at KLM Airlines for several years before joining Kenyan Airways.

He is survived by his wife Alakeh – who hails from Aberdeen, Freetown; his children – Frederica and Lynette; grand children; brothers and sisters – Ralph, Victor (PB), Violet Remilekun MacCormack, Adeyemi and George.

He also left behind several relatives and friends in Sierra Leone, the United Kingdom and the United States of America. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Frederick was 59 years old and was looking forward to celebrating his 60th on the 4th July. He will be sorely missed by his work colleagues, friends and family.
