Sierra Leone High Commission in Kenya mourns the death of high commissioner Francis

Sierra Leone High Commission in Kenya: Sierra Leone Telegraph: 4 January 2021:

The staff of the Sierra Leone High Commission in Kenya and the Sierra Leonean Community in Kenya mourns the death of Mr. Peter Joseph Francis, the Sierra Leone High Commissioner to the Republic of Kenya, who passed away on Monday, the 28th December 2020 in his hometown, Kenema, Eastern Sierra Leone while on vacation.

The High Commission is saddened by this tragic and sudden death and considers it as an irreparable and great loss. It will forever mourn and always remember him for his unwavering commitment, patriotism and diligence to national service.

The High Commission also expresses its heartfelt condolences to the wife and the entire bereaved family.

High Commissioner Mr. Peter Joseph Francis was also Sierra Leone’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office in Nairobi (UNON),United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and United Nations Human Settlements Programme, UN— Habitat.

Rest In Peace Mr. Peter Joseph Francis, till we meet again.

That imposing mysterious ship that looms temporarily in the shadows, that always appears creeping like a snail out of nowhere in countries far and near, that unearthly ship, whose steely-eyed Captain beckons her travelers to embark and then disappears quickly into the unfathomable boundless oceans has reached our shores once again and has dropped its anchor for the night as its mariners await in silence for one of our countrymen to undertake a journey of no return, that is offered only once to every living, breathing human being here on our majestic earth.

    Farewell gentle Traveler – we thank you Mr Francis for your service to our country, your family, friends and humanity as a whole. May you have a smooth sailing over the Eternal waves that lead all men and women towards the everlasting glittering shores of grace and tremendous throne of our Omnipotent merciful God.

  2. I will miss him. We were in Holy Trinity Secondary School Kenema together. May his soul rest in peace. I wonder what happened to Paul Francis, his younger brother.
