  1. What a wonderful history. I will be lying if I say I remember everything I was taught about Freetown or Sierra Leone in general but certainly appreciate the refresher.

    PS: Any reason why president Bio’s image features on the map of Sierra Leone. Nothing against the President but thought historic images would have been more in order.

  2. Not true. Freetown was established in 1787 and was then known as The Province of Freetown (234 years ago). The first returned Africans were the Black Poor from London. Then came the Nova Scotians, the Maroons and Liberated Africans. That was what I was taught in primary school and it has stuck with me ever since.
